The Pomak language keyboard

    Philotis created a new keyboard to support the Pomak language. The Pomak language keyboard is based on the Keyman technology which supports virtually all computing platforms.

    Installation

    Download and install Keyman for your platform.

    Installation of the Pomak keyboard

    Open Keyman and install the packagepomak.kmp language specification file (first unzip the downloaded file).

    Usage of the Pomak keyboard

    The process of attaching special symbols on characters can be achieved in two steps. First the key corresponding to the special symbol is pressed and then the key for the character (using shift or caps lock for capitals).

    For characters á, Á, é, É, ǵ, Ǵ, ó, Ó, í, Í, ý, Ý

    • – start by pressing once key <;> (semicolon) and then press the appropriate <character>
    • – use <caps lock> or <shift> for capitalising the <character> as usual

    For characters š, Š, č, Č, ǧ, ž, Ž, ņ, Ņ, ļ, Ļ, ü, Ü, æ, Æ, ø, Ø

    • – start by pressing once key <‘> (apostrophe) and then press the appropriate <character>
    • – use <caps lock> or <shift> for capitalising the <character> as usual

    For characters ǘ, Ǘ, ǽ, Ǽ, ǿ, Ǿ

    • – start by pressing once <shift> + <‘> (apostrophe) and then press the appropriate <character>
    • – use <caps lock> or <shift> for capitalising the <character> as usual
